If a vehicle’s registration expires on a day on which all license branches in the county of registration are closed, the administrative penalty is not charged until midnight on the date following the day a license branch in the county of registration is open for business after the vehicle’s expiration date.
Example: If a vehicle’s registration expires on Monday and all branches in that county are closed on Monday, but at least one branch is open on Tuesday, then no administrative penalty is charged on Tuesday or Wednesday. The penalty would begin on Thursday, even if the branches in that county happen to be closed on Wednesday
