First, when you receive your letter of denial you should read the letter completely, so that you understand the reason for the denial. If you believe your application was rejected for violation of law IC 35-47-2-3(g) and you do not wish to challenge the denial please contact the Firearms Licensing Section to declare that you do not wish to appeal the denial, and the amount of your State Fee will be refunded to you immediately. If you believe your application was denied due to an error, and you wish to appeal the denial go to the ISP website, click on Appeal Process, and then forward a written request to the Indiana State Police Firearms Licensing Section with the words "Request for Appeal" on the subject line.
