The Indiana Alcohol Tobacco Commission (ATC) issues and regulates employee permits for bartenders, waiters/waitresses, salespersons, clerks, and other personnel associated with the sale or service of alcoholic beverages in the State of Indiana. Standard employee permits are issued for three (3) years. Volunteer employee permits and restricted employee permits (for individuals who are 18, 19, or 20 years old) are issued for two (2) years.

If you wish to submit a paper application, please complete and submit State Form 00043 (Application for Employee Permit) or State Form 54632 along with the applicable fee and supporting documents. Employees may work on their application receipt while waiting for their permit for a period of ninety (90) days from the date on the receipt.
