Lake CountyTax Assessor and Recorder's Office records, and at times information provided by property owners were used to determine the length of waterway frontage for each owner of property along the waterway within the jurisdiction of ECWMD. In 2022, a fee of $7.00 per linear foot is scheduled to be assessed to each property owner. The $7.00/foot charge results in a total collection less than ECWMD's statutory authority of $500,000, per year and assigns no single user more than $75,000, as required by the statute.
