The second dose of the Novavax vaccine is typically given 3 weeks (21 days) after the first dose.
An 8-week interval between the first and second doses of the Novavax vaccine may be optimal for some people as it may reduce the small risk of myocarditis and/or pericarditis associated with this COVID-19 vaccine, particularly in males ages 12–39 years.
You will be asked to sign up for your second vaccination when you get the first one, and the scheduler will help make sure the correct number of days pass between vaccinations. It is important to make sure you get your second dose so that you are as protected as possible. Please remember to bring your vaccination card to your second dose appointment for proof of full vaccination.
