Children should receive the U.S. FDA recommended COVID-19 vaccine dosage for their age group, even if they change age groups between doses. Please consult with your child’s primary care provider for more information. For example, if your child is 11 years old when they receive the first dose of the Pfizer pediatric vaccine for ages 5 to 11 and turn 12 by the time they are due for their second dose, they should receive the adult/adolescent volume of the Pfizer vaccine for their second dose.
