The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has only recommended booster doses of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines for people 18 years and older. Those who are under the age of 18 cannot receive a booster dose at this time.
Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals 12 and older are eligible for a third dose if they completed an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine series. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends moderately to severely immunocompromised people consider receiving a third dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) at least 28 days after the second dose. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is not included in the recommendation at this time, but booster doses are recommended 2 months after the primary dose.
