The risk of developing blood clots after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is remote. Please be aware that flu-like symptoms within the first couple of days of vaccination are normal as your body’s immune system responds. Thrombosis (developing blood clots) after Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccination is rare and has occurred in approximately 4 cases per one million doses administered. You can monitor yourself for severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain, shortness of breath or leg swelling within six days to three weeks of receiving your shot to watch out for signs of a bad reaction. Please contact your healthcare provider if you have any of these symptoms.
