If you have any symptoms such as a new lump, nipple discharge, focal pain, or skin changes, or have been told by your healthcare provider that you need to get a mammogram because you have any of these symptoms, do not delay your mammogram. Be sure to tell your mammogram provider that you got the COVID-19 vaccine recently, and let them know which arm you got your vaccine in. If possible and when it does not delay important care, consider scheduling your breast screening exam before receiving your upcoming dose of COVID-19 vaccine or 4-6 weeks after your most recent dose. The vaccine can cause lymph nodes to swell as your body builds its immune response, which could impact your mammogram results.
