People not at increased risk of serious illness or death from COVID-19 and the general public will likely have access to the vaccine (shot) in the third and final phase. This phase is estimated to come in the middle of 2021, but is subject to change.
First responders (fire, law enforcement, emergency medical services, reservists and volunteers) who have in-person contact with the public, coroners and funeral directors who have contact with infectious material, as well as licensed and unlicensed healthcare workers who have in-person contact with patients or infectious material in any healthcare setting are now eligible to schedule a vaccine (shot) appointment.
In addition, Indiana residents age 70 and older on the date of their first shot are now eligible.
