The new Local Health Departments retention schedule (https://www.in.gov/iara/files/county-health.pdf) is applicable for any health services provider owned by county/local government, as well as the County/Local General Retention Schedule (https://www.in.gov/iara/files/county-general.pdf).
State government has very few state-owned medical/nursing facilities:
- The remaining State Hospitals have their own retention schedule under Family and Social Services Administration/Division of Mental Health and Addiction (https://researchindiana.iara.in.gov/cgi-bin/appx.sh?ACTIONS_NAME=scheduleReport(SCH)&SCHEDULE_RECORD_ID=1114)
- The Indiana Veterans' Home (https://researchindiana.iara.in.gov/cgi-bin/appx.sh?ACTIONS_NAME=scheduleReport%28SCH%29&SCHEDULE_RECORD_ID=604) also has its own records retention schedule.
Any state-owned facility is also able to use the State General Retention Schedule (https://www.in.gov/iara/files/gr.pdf).
